SONG OF THE DAY:? 4 Strings ft Seri “Ready to Fall”

Dutch trancers Carlos Ressort and Jan De Vos, better known as 4 Strings, have been creating quality vocal trance for more than 10 years – hits like “Into The Night,” “Turn It Around,” “Catch a Fall,” and “Curious.”? Just as “Curious” featured the strong vocal presence of Tina Cousins, the duo here enlists singer Seri, recently heard on Markus Schulz’ “Love Rain Down,” for the new single “Ready to Fall.”? Seri’s voice ranges from sultry and breathy to pretty and angelic, almost reaching operatic highs.? On its own, the track is memorable trance- energetic and pumping with gorgeous melodic breakdowns.? Combined with Seri’s vocals, “Ready to Fall” is another strong trance pop creation from 4 Strings that will be loved by trance DJs, and very likely by dance radio as well.

SONG OF THE DAY: Danny Dove ft Susie Ledge – “Goodbye”

There’s quickly becoming a huge catalog of progressive/stadium house tracks that all sound pretty much the same – as if the labels told every producer to copy that last one by Avicii/Swedish House Mafia. Thankfully, there are tracks like “Goodbye” that avoid devolving to the just-add-cheese formula. Danny Dove’s progressive house track is anthemic and pretty with sweeping pads, a squelchy synth hook, and an uplifting energy that comes from grooves rather than banging beats.? Singer/songwriter Susie Ledge adds her emotional blue-eyed soul to the somber lyrics, elevating the track even further.? DJs requiring a more aggressive mix will reach for the?Francesco Diaz & Young Rebels take which toughens the track up, teasing with a retro-ish trance pop hook before exploding into progressive electro beats.? Fans of the big vocal records of Armin van Buuren and Markus Schulz should definitely hunt this one down.

SONG OF THE DAY: Markus Schulz ft Ana Diaz – “Nothing Without Me”

Another standout track from Marcus Schulz’ incredibly strong release ‘Scream,’ “Nothing Without Me” is a haunting tale of obsessed love gorgeously sung by Ana Diaz.? The track has a progressive-yet-pop feel which is suitably brooding and melodic with a dark beauty which foreshadows the story.? As strong as the song is, the track works just as well as an instrumental with pretty breakdowns crescendoing into powerful, thunderous explosions of energy. The extended mix will work on any mainstream club floor and the Antillas & Dankman, Beat Service, and Coldharbour mixes all go in different directions – electro, big room/stadium, and progressive.? The video translates the song as an obsessed fan moved to mental breakdown as it unwinds.? This is some dark source material, especially considering the video starts with the phrase “based on a true story.”
