INTERVIEW: Duane Harden Interview 2014 #NB4U

Nearly 15 years since the release of his first single, the classic ?U Don?t Know Me? with Armand Van Helden, Duane Harden finally releases his debut solo album #NB4U (Naked Before You). In the time elapsed, he has grown into many roles ? singer, songwriter, producer, label mogul, author ? all of which has contributed to his current release.? The album features collaborations with everyone from Ferry Corsten, Sidney Samson, and Louie Vega to Bimbo Jones, Jessica Sutta, and Chris Willis.? There is truly something for everyone on the album.? This kind of diversity of talent is not a surprise, if you take a moment and search for Duane on discogs.com, it might blow you away to see how many incredible records he has been involved with over the years.

DJ Ron Slomowicz: Let?s start with something I?ve been wondering about.? How did the Chicane ?One More Time? collaboration come about?
Duane Harden: Chicane sent me a message and it was the usual process from there. I think he may have gotten the idea from Ferry Corsten because they work together a lot and I did the Ferry Corsten track ?Love Will.? It was my first dive into that genre of music, so maybe he thought it would be a cool idea to do a track with an underground, soulful dance artist.

INTERVIEW: Korr-A (2013)

Korr-a is one to watch.??Her recent single ?Fiyacraka? was supported by Hardwell and made a huge splash on the Billboard Club Chart.???Her performances are explosive, as she blends intense choreography with live vocals.??Coming up next, she has a new single for the holidays, a modern update of ?Deck the Halls,? and a playful club anthem ?Fuck Me Like You Mean It.???We performed together recently at Roscoe?s Tavern in Chicago for a Fusion Radio party and after seeing her live, I instantly pulled her manager aside to set up an interview for the site.??Expect big things from her in 2014!

DJ Ron Slomowicz: Where does the name Korr-a come from?
Korr-A: It kind of stems from my last name Korban. When I was little, everyone would call my dad Korra for short, and people started calling me little Korra. It is just symbolic in remembrance to my family and to my roots; it?s also a good way to distinguish my personal life from my stage life.

RS: With the last name Korban, I wonder are you from?
Korr-A:??I was born in Ukraine but I was brought to the States when I was three, so I don?t really consider myself?that much Ukrainian any longer.

INTERVIEW: Dannic (ADE 2013)

Daan Romers, aka Dannic, started- like most DJs- making mashups before moving into original productions, and just as his mashups were played by all the big name DJs, his tracks quickly were as well.? From his contest-winning debut, remixing Funkerman?s ?Automatic,? to the solid string of club hits (?Doster,? ?Wop,? ?Pipeline,? ?Tombo?), his productions are highly regarded.? His partnership with Dyro yielded their first headlining party at the Amsterdam Dance Event 2013, which was a sold out success. With a packed release and tour schedule, you will definitely be hearing a lot more from Dannic.

DJ Ron Slomowicz: So how was your party last night?
Dannic: Really good and really hectic. I got surprised by Tiesto, Martin Garrix, W&W, and Hardwell all came to say hi. It was beyond what I expected.

RS: Was this your first time headlining a party by yourself with Dyro?
Dannic: Yes, it was my first time headlining at ADE with my own concept, Front Of House, and I was with Dyro who is one of my best friends.? It was really nice.
