INTERVIEW: Nari and Milani (2013)

When you talk to an Italian DJ/producer, you can feel their passion and love for the music.? Italian duo Antonio Romeo and Maurizio Zoffoli started working together in 1996 under different pseudonyms.? Back in 2003, they launched the Nari and Milani name and have achieved success with hit singles (“Let it Rain” and “I Got You”), remixes, and a solid DJ touring schedule.? Their weekly radio program “I’ll House You” is available on their Soundcloud page and is definitely worth subscribing to.

RS: How did the two of you meet up?
Nari: We met at a radio show, Ronni was a host and so was I. We both lived in the same city and had the same passion for music. Years later we found that we worked well together and decided to create and produce music.

RS: You worked with R3hab and MYNC on the new “Miami” track, how did that come about?
Nari: At the time that we decided to make the track we were in Europe, R3hab was on tour in Australia, and MYNC was on tour in America so we connected on Skype. We made the track, MYNC made the melody, and R3hab rebuilt the track and it was finished in 21 days.

INTERVIEW: Frankmusik (2013)

Back in the ?80s, the TV show Dallas decided that a whole season had been bad for the overall storyline, so they wrote it off as an extended dream sequence.? That’s what we intend to do with? Frankmusik?s second album ?Do It In the AM,? since his new music (?Maps,? “Chasing Shadows”) is such an excellent return to the form of his landmark debut, ?Complete Me.?? Moving away from Los Angeles, a major record label, and a fianc?e brought piano prodigy Frankmusik back to his senses and the wonderful electronic dance pop music that we all fell in love with him for originally.? Now flying solo, or as he calls it, free, he is in control of his own destiny and has embarked on a US tour where his group is camping between cities and really seeing the states like never before.? We anxiously await to see how this journey will inspire his upcoming musical compositions.

DJ Ron Slomowicz: Have you played in Nashville before?
Frankmusik: No, I have never been to Nashville or anywhere near this place.

RS: But you have toured the US before?
Frankmusik: Yeah, but we never managed to get to the Music City, we are glad to be here now though.

INTERVIEW: Jessica Sutta (2013)

When I interviewed Jessica Sutta back in 2008 around the release of the Pussycat Dolls’ Doll Domination album, I was blown away by her knowledge of dance music.? So it’s no surprise that she has worked with top flight producers like Dave Aude and Paul van Dyk and topped the club chart with “Show Me” last year.? Her new single “Again” is flying up the club chart and is just one of four songs that she is planning to release this year.? We caught up at the Winter Music Conference and chatted about everything going on in her beat-driven world.

DJ Ron Slomowicz: How are you enjoying the Winter Music Conference this year?
Jessica Sutta: Oh my god I am having the time of my life. Miami is my hometown and I love coming home, it is always fun here.
