SONG OF THE DAY: K-Klass ft Bobbi Depasois – “Rock the House”

Classic producers take on a house classic.? K-Klass rework one of their all time favorite house tracks, “Rock the House” by Nicole, turning it into their own take on a party anthem.? With newly-sung vocals by their vocalist of choice, Bobbi Depasois, the original mix is a respectful hands-in-the-air update keeping the classic house vibe in place and adding energetic, yet tasteful, elements of modern electro.? Sonny Warton’s remix goes deeper, while Benny Royal takes it even truer to the original with a classic house feel. For a song that lives up to the title, DJs should check out the track which truly lives up to its title.? Its refreshing to see the K-klass guys at almost twenty-five years into their career continuing to consistently produce dancefloor anthems every bit as moving as their classics.

SONG OF THE DAY: Antillas & Blinders ft Jenson Vaughan – “Top of The World”

Italian duo Luca Moretti and Ricky Romanini produce under the guises of Triple X and Motivo, but are best known for their trance-edged work as Antillas.? Recently scoring a club hit with their cover of Plumb’s “Damaged,” after they remixed a different cover version by Plumer, the duo return with the uplifting progressive pop “Top of the World.”? A truly international project, they worked with Polish production duo Blinders and Canadian singer/songwriter Jenson Vaughan. The result is spiritually uplifting, with feel-good lyrics that don’t devolve into cheese over a production that rivals any of Swedish House Mafia’s recent efforts. The video, reminiscent of Faithless’ “Why Go,” tells the story of two unique individuals who find each other through music.? Ok, two hot nudists hook up when they find each other in the street.? Keeping with that international flavor, the female model is top-ranked Spanish beauty Sandra Falga, whom you may recognize from Esquire magazine.? Here’s one of those videos that could easily go viral and become another Gotye.
