German music producer Michael Mind seems to be finding his niche in EDM land by covering and updating classic rock and pop songs with electro beats for commercial dance floors and radio. Following up his string of “Blinded By the Light,” “Ride Like the Wind,” “Baker Street,” and “Show Me Love” comes “Feeling So Blue.” Reworking “Blue” by Eiffel 65 is not an original idea as Flo Rida did just that with “Sugar” a few years ago “Feeling So Blue” keep the chorus, ups the energy and adds new verses from Dante Thomas. The vocals have a lot of effects but still retain some emotion unlike the robotized feel of the original song. “Feeling So Blue” is fun mindless europop perfect for the new generation who don’t know the original or for those who were around the first time and want to relive the pop memories. By the way, contrary to popular thought, “Da Ba Dee” was not originally sung as “if i was green I would die.”
