MASHUP MADNESS: Dot Cotton – “Do You Know”

Leave it the crazy Cahill guys to mash together two 90’s classics and make a commercial club jam. Start with Robert Miles’ dreamhouse anthem “Children” and layer on top a cover vocal of Michelle Gayle’s 1997 top 10 hit “Do You Know,” and you got the idea behind Dot Cotton. Angel City had the same idea but the 138 bpm speed doesn’t really fit with the current tempo of what’s being played in clubs now. As much as I love the original Full Intention mix, this new version is going to sound great on the dancefloor. I wonder if they can get their hands on the original vocals and release it officially as a Cahill VS Michelle Gayle single. With the recent wave of 90s nostalgia, that would definitely have crossover potential.
