A track based on a fun sound effect is always fun – whether it be an explosion, a laugh, or a duck quacking. Scottish producer/DJ Chris Lake builds this bouncy new electro track around a squeak noise that sounds similar to the classic “Percolator” by Cajmere. Though it’s thoroughly modern in production style and on trend with everything you will hear right now, don’t be surprised if it mixes perfectly with an energetic record from the ’90s like Phunky Phantom “Get Up Stand Up.” It’s that kind of happy vibe which “Squeak” embraces while staying cool enough for the big name DJs to support. It makes you wonder which vocal track is going to be mashed on top?
