Sweden has a history of introducing the world to an array of noted dance-pop artists, including Abba, Roxette, Ace of Base, Basshunter, Alcazar, and September, as well as producers like Max Martin, DenniZ Pop, and Stonebridge, so the rise of ?Swedish House? artists or remixers woven in and out on this new release is no surprise. Last year, Turkish DJ/producer Deniz Koyu dominated clubs all around the world with two aggressive electro tracks – “Tung” and “Hertz.” For 2012, he has two new tracks buzzing at the same time – “Turn It” with Fedde Le Grand and Johan Wedel – and “Bong.” With a chant/scream-fueled sports anthem vibe similar to “Tung,” the relentlessly energetic electro “Bong” is being released on Sebastian Ingrosso’s label Refune records. Listening to the just under 2 minute preview, you can tell that the hyped-up dirty dutch-vibed beats and addictive hooks are going to drive a dance floor crazy. DJ superstars like Guetta, Calvin Harris, and Axwell are already on the record, so it’s a sure thing that every other DJ will follow. The track itself is going to be a club favorite but we wonder how big it could be with a top line over it. Note to label – draft the vocal talents of big-voiced diva to knock it out of the park – maybe someone like Katherine Ellis, Anastacia or Debby Holiday? While we are unsure if we the track title is reference to a video game noise or drug paraphernalia, we look forward to playing the hot track in our DJ sets.
