SONG OF THE DAY: Reflekt ft Kim Wilde – “A Beautiful House”

It’s so great when classic singers continue to create wonderful music.  Kim Wilde is one of the most successful pop singers of the ’80s with classics like “Kids in America,” “You Came,” “Take Me Tonight,” and “Cambodia,” as well as her massive cover of “You Keep Me Hangin On” which topped the US pop chart.  Throughout the ’90s and ’00s, she’s continued to release albums and singles in Europe.  Her new single “A Beautiful House,” a collaboration with British production team Reflekt (Seb Fontaine and Jay Peake), the team behind the club hit “Need to Feel Loved,” is quite a wonderful pop song with a strong bassline, singalong chorus, and quite an uplifting message.  Kim sounds incredible, no shock there, and it’s great to be see Reflekt create such a commercial-leaning production with elements of big room club sounds.  DJs will probably go for the more agressive Antillas & Dankann remix which pumps up the energy a bit, yet thankfully keeps all of the vocals intact.
