SONG OF THE DAY: Taryn Manning ft Sultan and Ned Shepard – “Send Me Your Love”

Aren’t we all a bit skeptical when celebrities and actors try to become dance singers? Actress Taryn Manning is no stranger to dance floors, having previously topped the Billboard Club Chart with “The Wreckoning” as part of Boomkat with her brother Kellan. As a club DJ she stays quite busy and she recently spun the opening party for America’s Next Top Model, so it’s no surprise that she is in tune with the hottest EDM sounds. Her new song “Send Me Your Love” started as an alternative rock song and you can hear that in the lyrics – a plaintive spiritual ode to a higher power seeking guidance. Her voice is quite uplifting – a husky tone with an angelic feel, subtle and strong at the same time. The lyrics and vocals resonate in a way similar to iiO’s classic “Rapture.” From alternative rock to clubland monster, it’s amazing what a remix can do. The team of Sultan and Ned Shepard really turned out a track that will work on big room floors around the world. The vocal dropout is gorgeous with massive buildups that overpower anything else in the current bro-house movement. Additional mixes by R3hab, Fred Falke, and Dave Aude insure that “Send Me Your Love” will insure every DJ will be on this track for months to come.
