SONG OF THE DAY: Dragonette – “Let It Go”

This band has made leaps and bounds.  Starting from a humble ‘who are they?’ beginning with “I Get Around”, to working with Basement Jaxx, Cyndi Lauper, Nicola Roberts, Kaskade, and most famously Martin Solveig, Dragonette really has gotten around.  And here’s their latest slice of exactly why they are hot, “Let It Go”.  Now this is definitely a nod to what makes music hit gold these days, touching heavily on the sound that infected Marina & the Diamonds on “Primadonna”.  With Martin Solveig’s “Hello” being any indication, Sorbara’s voice is welcomed and celebrated on radio, so expect to be hearing this one for months.  For a little “Here Comes The Rain Again” by way of PNAU vibe in your remix, check out The Knock’s mix.  You know, if the original isn’t your thing (but it should be).  Check their site to find your city on their tour schedule.
